Owairaka screams ‘Talent’ at Eden/Albert Festival

25 11 2008

The Eden/Albert festival started with a great powhiri and set by the host school, Gladestone. Teena Koutou katoa mo te taukoto o taatou kaupapa. We were lucky enough to have a great day, with no rain clouds in sight.

Now, back to the outstanding performances. Owairaka stepped up to the plate, with our Indian, Samoan, Kapahaka and Tongan whanau o Owairaka taking their place on the day. This year, all performers trully owned the stage, celebrating our cultural diversities throughout the groups. A day to be remembered.

Teena koutou katoa nga roopu o Owairaka ki te whakangahau i te Eden/Albert me nga kaimahi o taatou kura. Teena koutou, teena koutou, teena koutou katoa.

Hi Ruma 17,

I wish I had made it to the Cultural Festival. It sounds like it was a lot of fun.
