Kia ora e te whanau,
My whanau (family) and I have just arrived in sunny Bay of Plenty, well Taneatua, to visit my folks/parents and my younger sister and her 6 month old baby, Kylah Rangiahua Houia.
She has just started to roll from both sides.. Pretty cool – Also Rangiahua can say ‘mumma’.
Next step for us, tomorrow morning, bright and early we’re off to Torere on the East coast the land of the Ngai Tai people, situated between Opotiki-mai-Tawhiti and Te Whanau a Apanui.
The reason being, we have a beautiful toka/kohatu/pohatu/kowhatu/rock from my tribal river, Wainui that I will be hopefully getting transformed into a taonga for our whanau. A mere to be exact, by one of our outstanding Whakairo masters/ tohunga of the art of carving to complete my taonga.

Stay tuned to see where we go next?
What are you doing for the holidays? However, how exciting or mundane (look it up) tell us readers about it so we can find out more and improve our questioning skills.
Remember to include: Who? When ? Where? What? Why? How? in your recount.
